During summer, Brixen reveals its most relaxed and vibrant atmosphere: historic streets, elegant squares, outdoor cafés and the pleasant alpine climate make the town an ideal destination for nature, culture and quality of life.

The local mountain of Brixen is the Plose, easily reachable in around 20 minutes by car or with South Tyrol’s public transport network. During summer, the Plose becomes a paradise for panoramic hiking, mountain biking and relaxing days surrounded by the Dolomites.

Among alpine meadows, mountain huts and scenic trails, the Plose offers activities for both families and experienced hikers. The famous Trametsch ski slope transforms into one of the region’s favourite downhill mountain bike trails during the warmer months.

In the centre of Brixen, Acquarena offers indoor and outdoor pools, wellness areas and large green spaces perfect for warm summer days. Sports enthusiasts can also enjoy VERTikale, one of South Tyrol’s most modern climbing and bouldering gyms.

Only a few minutes from the town centre lies the historic Neustift Abbey, surrounded by vineyards and peaceful landscapes. The monastery is one of the cultural highlights of South Tyrol and is well known for its library, cloister and wine production.

Thanks to Brixen’s central location, many Dolomite destinations, alpine lakes and panoramic routes throughout the Eisack Valley can easily be reached.

Even during summer, Brixen enjoys a mild and pleasant climate, with sunny days, cool evenings and a relaxed atmosphere ideal for slow travel.

With the excellent South Tyrol Mobility network, guests can comfortably explore the region without a car using trains, buses and direct connections to the Plose and surrounding valleys.
